GAMMA IOTA CHAPTER AT
WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE

The Gamma Iota chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma at Worcester Polytechnic Institute was the first sorority on campus and was founded in 1977. The founding sisters wanted to be apart of a sisterhood in a male-dominated school. The very first composite still hangs in the dining room of our chapter house at 15 Elbridge Street.
Today, we have over 70 active sisters wearing our letters. Our sisters are a from 17 states and 8 different countries. We are collectively involved in 81 different campus organizations, and we hold 102 leadership positions in these organizations. Our average chapter GPA is 3.63 and we have sisters that are members in 9 different honors societies.
